Laboratory testing is part of the concrete mixture development process, whether the goal is designing a series of concrete mixtures to meet job specifications or investigating new materials: cement, aggregate, or SCM. The ability to efficiently proportion concrete mixtures from 27 cubic feet (1 yard) down to a laboratory testing size is essential, as is the ability to adjust the admixture dosage to the laboratory proportion and adjust for aggregate moisture content.
